3 Years? Really???

Has it really been 3 years since I gave birth to an 8 and 1/2 lb little boy?

When older people used to say, enjoy your youth while you can, time goes fast as you get older, I used to laugh and think, nah, not for me. Boy was I wrong. It amazes me how fast time goes. Seems only yesterday that I had Benjamin and now I have Levi who turns 3 today.

Levi has spent the last year and half or so sleeping in the same bed as his brother. He used to get up several times throughout the night and once we said he could sleep with his brother he was excited. He started sleeping through the night without a problem. So we left them like that, until yesterday. The past month or two have showed us that it was time to put Levi in his own bed, so we finally took some time to go get him his own mattress and box springs. We already had his bed frame. Yesterday his mattress set came in. We had spent the morning re-arranging their furniture to accommodate two beds and set everything up and then we went to pick up the set.

We spent a very long 15-30 minutes last night walking him back upstairs but he finally stayed in bed. Of course I did have to tell him if he didn't stay his bed, he wouldn't be getting any more birthday presents in the morning. That did seem to work, though.

He's only gotten one of his presents so far, a Diego "watch". It's not really a watch but he likes it so that's all that matters. He'll get the rest of his gifts when daddy comes home from work later today.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Levi

Wow, really?

Has it really been that long since I've blogged? It's really been 6 weeks? Yeah life is busy.

I've gotten to spend about one day a week with my new niece which is great. It's been really crazy weather here. We have some really cool days where it's barely 80 and then it's 90s and high humidity other days. I guess that's part of the great PA weather I love and hate so much. I am ready for some fall weather though but before you know it, it will be winter and I'll be whining that it's too cold and my oil bill is too high.


D has been working a lot of extra hours the last couple of weeks. They are short on managers right now. They had one quit and haven't hired a new one yet. Hopefully soon they'll have someone.

Baby

Well we have a new baby in the family. My sister had her daughter on Monday at 3:02 am.

Emily May was 7 lbs, 3 oz and was 18 1/2 inches long. She is so cute. I didn't want to stop holding her.

The worst part of holding her is the yearning that I have now to have one of my own. D and I have been trying for 3 months but no luck thus far. It's been disappointing to me, but I know D's heart wasn't in it, even though he said he was okay with it.

We did talk though on Monday night after the boys got to spend some time with Emily. They got to hold her and love her. They also think it's okay to have a baby sister or brother now too. They were okay with it before but now they know what a baby is like so they are on board with us.

I just pray that I am able to get pregnant again soon and my friend can also.

So much to do, so little time

It seems that I have so much to do and so little time to do it in anymore.

Being close to family has his high points, like being able to spend time with my niece when she gets here, but it also has it's downfalls, I have days when I don't get a lot done. For instance, today I got next to nothing done. I blame it partly on D since he was off. I did however get my hair cut today. so that is good. It's something I've been wanting to do for weeks/months. Just ask my sister and D they'll tell you.

Other than that, the only other thing I got done was towels hung. I did, however, completely forget to take them down, thank goodness D didn't.

My list is huge for the next couple of days. I have so much to do and so little time to do it in, but hey, I'll just have a new list after that one is done anyway, right?

Yeah, I did it

I decided I need to spend more time with the boys helping them with stuff, so I decided not to be online as much so I have more time for them while still getting my work around the house done.

This morning we had clean up time. L decided to dump a bunch of puzzles and stuff yesterday and we didn't clean them up last night so we did it this morning. We had fun doing it and while it's not completely done, a good chunk of it is done. We also spent some time going over our "homework" from Miss Jackie, B's speech teacher. B did so well and L really tried. I'm so proud of both of them.

I did just realize that I never did shower this morning. Oooops. I guess I should do that soon. I got so involved in the boys that I forgot I stunk. hehehehe.
