I belong to a great good of woman on a great website. What makes the website so great is that there are so many women from so many areas of the US, religions, ethnic backgrounds, etc. They aren't afraid to speak their minds and voice their opinions, they are there for you and will encourage you when you are down.
However, there seems to be a revolution type thing going on with some of those women that I am closer to that I just don't seem to get or want to be a part of . I can understand where the women are coming from but I can't completely agree with them or the paths that they are taking to get there.
I also don't want to stand up and speak my peace on the matter for fear of upsetting anyone. I know that I am not the only one that feels the way I do. I admire anyone that has the courage to stand up and speak against the majority but thats not me most of the time.
I believe that the owner of a site or store has the right to make the rules and to enforce them. If I open a store and I want to say no cell phones allowed in the store, that is my right. If I see someone with a cell phone, I can ask them to leave and tell them that they are not permitted in my store. If a site wants to limit what can and cannot be said concerning their site, so be it. If they say, you can say something but you must label it Friends Only, that's fine too. It's their site, not mine. I am a customer there, whether I purchase anything or not, whether I pay a fee or not, I am still a customer and the site can remove me if they want. They can ask that I not do something if they want, it's their site.
If I read a post and don't like what it's saying, I can either chose to leave a message or not, I can chose to stop reading and leave the post. I don't have to read everything and I don't. Everyone has a right to not read what they don't want to. I read a post earlier today about the shopping experience of some lady and I was like, why is she getting her panties in an uproar over something so silly. Life is too short to spend it upset over every little thing.

Great post Jenn! You know I agree!
Jenn, hang in there.
Honestly, with the new TOS, I think the whole 'thing' lost it's legs. It's clearly stated now and so one must expect to be removed if in violation. The old TOS was too ambigious and therefore the removal was arbituary. I did take issue with that. It's harder to argue now - even with the vague dancing around without really saying it posts that are flying around.
I'm honestly in a grey spot on this topic. I don't really have strong feelings one away or another at this point. I do, however, have complete drain from the collective drama that site seems to be steeped in. Thus my semi-lurking status at the moment.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It's always ok to stand-up. Real friends won't hold it against you. Really.
I agree with you Jenn. Thus the reason I've stepped back from the site for the last few weeks. I've just had enough drama to last me a bit longer - then maybe I'll be back. Really though... do they understand that there is a WAR going on? A REAL war... enough of the cattiness.
