Two days of goodbyes

My oldest son, Bman, is 4 years old. This school year he started preschool. It was something we had been wanting to get him into last year but never got to it plus didn't know of a good one. This year we sent him to the one ran out of the church we have been attending.

He has thoroughly enjoyed it. He's made some new friends and has already learned some new things. I also think he's coming "out of his shell" some too.

Wednesday was his last day of preschool. He was so sad when I picked him up. The teacher gave him a hug and told him to enjoy the new house and the move. The kids all said bye to him. When we got into the car, I thought he was going to cry. I talked to him and told him it was okay to be sad and it was okay to cry if he wanted to. He didn't but I sure wanted to for him. We got home and had lunch and went outside and played and he seemed to have gotten over it.

Thursday he had to say goodbye to his speech teacher. That wasn't quite as hard on him. I will miss her though. She's the only one of three that has made huge improvement with him. He's already learned several new words and sounds.

It was a hard two days of goodbyes, but I think it made him a little stronger overall by having to do it. Tink on the other hand could care less. He doesn't understand this whole moving thing which, I guess, is a blessing.
